The constantly improving modern method to fully waterproof any flat roof which replaces the outdated felt roofing systems commonly used for garage and shed roofs. It stands for G lass R einforced P lastic and is made from strands of glass called fibres. It is a moulded product which can be placed around awkward corners and areas where different angles may create problems with water penetration, leading to damage in woodwork and surrounding areas. This means no seams or joints which are prone to leakage with other roof systems. These extremely fine fibres and cleverly woven together to create a flexible fabric mat reinforcement which is then encased in both base coat and topcoat resins, which are both fire rated and UV stable. Together with the flexible edge trims they create a fully integrated 100% waterproof seamless finish. It is not only ideal for flat roofs but due to its versatility, it can be used for sloping roofs, balconies, pools ponds or even water tanks. It can be adapted to suit parapet walls, skylights and roof lanterns. Available in standard dark grey it is also available in a range of colours to suit every building.
